Anwar Ibrahim’s Long Quest To Putrajaya

 

Anwar’s only hope is for Pakatan Harapan to win the Melaka state election. However, for that to happen, Anwar will need Umno’s help. Hence Najib Tun Razak and Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will have to sabotage any deal between Umno and Perikatan Nasional (meaning Bersatu and PAS). If not, Pakatan Harapan, and hence Anwar as well, are doomed.

Anwar Ibrahim reminds me of the cartoon characters, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, which have been around for 73 years since 1948, or about a year after Anwar was born.

For 73 years, Wile E. Coyote has been chasing and trying to catch the Road Runner, unsuccessfully.

Anwar, for 40 years since 1981, has been chasing and trying to catch the post of prime minister. The closest he came to becoming prime minister was last year in 2020. However, malangnya, just like Wile E. Coyote, Anwar fell off the cliff.

For 73 years, Wile E. Coyote has not given up. He still chases the Road Runner and he still fails. For 40 years, Anwar has also never given up. He still chases the post of prime minister and still fails.

Anwar is as funny as Wile E. Coyote. Has he not figured out that if after 40 years you have not succeeded, that means you are never going to succeed?

Anwar has tried everything, and nothing seems to work. He has spent millions, betrayed friends, sold out the Malays and Islam, and has still failed. Anwar practically made a deal with the devil and still no success.

Anyway, at least Anwar is the first opposition leader in history to be granted ministerial status. Now let’s see how Anwar performs, because thus far he has achieved nothing spectacular to shout about.
