PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian meteorological department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for people to brace themselves for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in six states and in Putrajaya.
The warning, issued at 8.55am today, said the bad weather was expected to last until this afternoon.
All towns in Kedah and Perak are expected to experience bad weather.
In Selangor, the department identified Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang as the danger spots.
Perlis, Penang and Sarawak (Kuching, Samarahan and Asajaya) will also be affected.
A similar warning of bad weather in 12 states was issued yesterday. - FMT
