Foetus found in petrol station’s toilet bowl

 

A post-mortem is being conducted on a male foetus discovered at a petrol station’s toilet.

KUALA LUMPUR: A foetus was discovered in a toilet bowl at a petrol station in Danau Kota, Setapak, today.

According to Wangsa Maju district police chief Ashari Abu Samah, police made the gruesome discovery following information from the public at about 5pm.

Investigations by the forensics department estimated the male foetus to be around six to eight months old. The ethnicity is unknown. The foetus was taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a post-mortem.

The case is being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for secretly burying or otherwise disposing of the dead body of a child, whether such child dies before or after or during its birth. The offence is punishable by a maximum of two years imprisonment, or a fine, or both.
