PETALING JAYA: The health ministry says it has not received any information on claims that a child has been infected with monkeypox.
It was responding to a photograph that went viral on social media which showed a child with large blisters on his hands, apparently after being infected with monkeypox.
In a Facebook post, the ministry urged the parents to take the child to the nearest government health facility to undergo treatment, should the photograph be real.
The ministry also urged members of the public not to share fake news and advised patients and their family members to seek medical advice. - FMT
