PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will take on the finance portfolio.
In unveiling his Cabinet, Anwar also announced that Tengku Zafrul Aziz will be international trade and industry minister.
The last time Malaysia had a prime minister who served as finance minister simultaneously was Najib Razak.
In its 2018 general election manifesto, Pakatan Harapan had pledged that the prime minister would not hold another ministerial portfolio simultaneously.
