The Health Ministry said 816 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 5,019,400.
Active cases currently stood at 15,411, down 30.0 percent compared to 14 days ago.

Another 6 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which 1 was declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 5.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 7.3, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,814 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
The state with the highest death was Perak (3), followed by Selangor (2) and Kedah (1).
There are 915 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 41 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (75) followed by Selangor (56) and Kedah (39). - Mkini
