My Comments :
Among the international jihadi outfits the Muslim Brotherhood or Ikhwan Muslimin has been the greatest agent of regression and backwardness for Muslims and Islam worldwide.
"The Muslim Brotherhood is a transnational Sunni movement that seeks to implement sharia under a global caliphate"
For decades the Ikhwan has spread its tentacles all over the Islamic world and beyond to such an extent that multiple Islamic countries have been ruled by local offshoots of the Ikhwan Muslimin.
The following map shows various Ikhwan Muslimin political parties operating in the Middle East and North Africa. They usually have the word "Justice" (keadilan) in their name.
At some point or another, some of these Ikhwan-offshoot political parties actually formed the governments in these countries. For example Erdogan's Justice Party in Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt (the Morsi government), Hamas in Gaza, Algeria and Sudan.
And they have all failed.
Tunisia made a voluntary decision to renounce the jihadi approach and announced that they would be a normal non-jihadi country.
The Ikhwan failed in Algeria and of course they were thrown out in Egypt. Turkey is a basket case.
One of the biggest failures of the Ikhwan Muslimin is Sudan where they not only lost their grip on the country but their foolish jihadi policies actually saw Sudan being split into two countries - Sudan and South Sudan.
Wherever the Ikhwan Muslimin went they created chaos and left behind failure.
Syria, Libya today are being destroyed by civil war due also to Ikhwan Mulimin inspired militias.

In my view the single biggest reason or cause for the failure of the Ikhwan internationally or worldwide is because the Ikhwan Muslimin is nothing more than an Egyptian village outfit.
The Ikhwan is an Egyptian setup. Their priority is Egypt. You cannot separate the Ikhwan from Egypt or Egypt from the Ikhwan.
All their talk about global jihad, international caliphate etc is just camouflage. Their focus has always been Egypt.
- The Ikhwan was founded in Egypt.
- Their leaders were all Egyptian.
- Even now almost all their leaders have always been Egyptians.
- Their chief idealogue Yusuf Qardawi was Egyptian.
- Ibrahim Munir, Mahmoud Hussein, Mohamed Kamal are/were all Egyptians.
- Mohamed Badie the present 8th Mursyidul Am or leader is also Egyptian.
This is an Egyptian village outfit.
But because they have all been driven into exile, so by necessity the Ikhwan became an "international" organisation with offices in London, Geneva, Doha, Washington and elsewhere.
Their international "purpose" was simple - their survival. So they have to collect a continuous stream of money to maintain their army of exiles living in quite some luxury overseas. Of course they needed a good cover story to collect money. "International caliphate" sounded like a good angle.
For example in this 27 year old picture here (1995) the guy wearing the cap is Yusuf Ali Nada the Ikhwan Muslimin's shadowy life long "finance minister" who lives in Switzerland. As you can see he can go cruising in a boat.
Do you recognise the others in the picture? That young girl in tudung recently lost the Permatang Pauh Parliamentary seat. To the left of the picture is her father.
But fortunes change. In this picture below the Arab fellow sitting on the chair is also Egyptian.
He is a "sheikh" at the Al Azhar University in Cairo. This means he is a government man - appointed by the Egyptian president al Sisi who has exterminated the Ikhwan from Egypt.
Meaning this sheikh from Al Ahar University is certainly not Ikhwanul Muslimin. Yet he is the main guest of the same guy in the boat above. How fortunes change.
Lain padang lain belalang.
So what a terrible waste of time it has all been? Spreading false ideas and camouflaged intentions over decades and across so many countries - just to collect some money to rent boats and luxury villas?
Entire societies have been misled, countries sacrificed and peoples' futures destroyed by Egyptian villagers who were apparently cleverer than other village kids around the world.
