Johari Abdul vacates Gurun state seat

 

The former Sungai Petani MP reportedly confirmed he was among the candidates for the role of Dewan Rakyat Speaker earlier this month.

PETALING JAYA: PKR’s Johari Abdul has vacated his Gurun state seat effective immediately.

This further fuels speculation that the former Sungai Petani MP will be elected as the new Dewan Rakyat Speaker when the lower house convenes tomorrow.

Last week, Johari had reportedly confirmed that he would be the Pakatan Harapan (PH) nominee for the role.
