Less than a month after retiring as the chief secretary to the government, Mohd Zuki Ali has been named the new Employees Provident Fund (EPF) chairperson.
In a media statement, EPF announced that Zuki’s appointment will take effect on Sept 1, succeeding Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahid, who has served in the role since May 2020.
“The EPF board extends its heartfelt appreciation to Badri for his exemplary leadership and significant contributions.
“At the same time, the board would like to welcome and congratulate Zuki, whose extensive experience in the government sector and strategic direction will continue to drive the EPF to greater heights,” it said.
Zuki, who announced his retirement from public service on August 9 after 32 years, was appointed as the chief secretary to the government in December 2019.
He was later reappointed on a contract basis for a two-year term from Aug 11, 2022, until Aug 10, 2024.
