RapidKL attributes the delay to a power outage at the Universiti station.

According to a passenger, a loud boom was heard before the train came to an abrupt halt, causing a number of people to lose balance and fall.
Passengers were also seen contacting RapidKL’s emergency hotline.
The train remained motionless on the tracks for roughly 20 minutes before RapidKL personnel began helping passengers onto another train on the other side of the tracks.
In a post on X, RapidKL said the Kelana Jaya line was experiencing a delay as a train had come to a halt due to a power outage at the Universiti station.
FMT has reached out to Rapid KL for further comment.
On June 30, a thin melted wire caused the sound of a minor explosion at the LRT station in Taman Jaya after getting caught in the train system’s power supply.
As a precautionary measure, the train was removed from service with passengers transferred to another coach to continue their journey.
In July, meanwhile, a small explosion-like sound and sparks were produced when a train component came into contact with the power conductor along the Shah Alam line. No injuries were reported. - FMT
