The questions were sent to Balasubramaniam via courier service after the MACCbackpedalled on its pledge to send officers to London to record his statement, scheduled for yesterday.

"We can confirm we've received the questions and are studying them at the moment,” said Americk, who declined to elaborate.

azlanBalasubramaniam is now expected to reply in the form of an affidavit.

The MACC is investigating his claim that several personalities had coerced him into retracting a statutory declaration concerning the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The personalities allegedly include Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's younger brother Nazim and businessman Deepak Jaikishan.

After the incident, Balasubramaniam fled the country and continued to make more allegations against Najib, his wife Rosmah and even claimed that the premier's former aide Nasir Safar was at the scene when Altantuya was arrested by the police.
