Thuggery is one of the hallmarks of the BN regime, with its 'samseng' culture. The biggest culprit is Umno. Umno not only uses goons, but it also plays up religion and race to set the people apart so that the ruling clique and their cronies can exploit the affirmative action (30% quota for bumiputeras) policy as a smokescreen to freeload and engage in racketeering.

The Indians continue to support the very people who have used them and have been oppressing them. If they care to look carefully, nothing has changed in the BN-Umno coalition since March 2008. Umno is still playing its dirty tricks on the people with its race-based affirmative action.

The grievance of the Indian community is not just with Samy Vellu and his gangsters. He is merely a lackey serving Umno interests and doing Umno's bidding. It's Umno that has deceived Malaysians and taken the rakyat for a ride over the past 40 years. When will the Indians wake up?
