Clinton arrives for three-day tour

SUBANG, Nov 1 — US State Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived at the Subang Skypark Terminal of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport here tonight for a three-day official visit to Malaysia.

The wife of former US president Bill Clinton was accompanied by a delegation which included five senior officials from the US Department of State.

Their arrival at 8.35pm was met by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay and Malaysia’s ambassador to the United States Datuk Seri Jamaluddin Jarjis.

While here, Clinton will be attending a luncheon hosted by Anifah tomorrow at Wisma Putra, Putrajaya followed by a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Prime Minister’s office.

Anifah and Clinton will discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Clinton will leave for Papua New Guinea on November 3 for an official visit. — Bernama
