Anwar – Dead end road for “Bapa kebebasan”

In the history of Malaysia, I have never seen so much injustice is done to a man. One small man who brings hope for millions of Malaysian that wanted a balance of power in Malaysia. I felt sorry for him, his wife, children and his grand children.

When I read the news on the court decision which allows the DNA material obtained from the police lockup can be used, tears flowed on my cheeks. It is over for Anwar. It is probably less painful for him to receive a bullet in the head than going through this mental ordeal like what is happening in Karachi in the last few days. Nearly 40 politicians have been shot dead this week alone.

No man or woman deserves this kind of mental harassment. Not in Malaysia or anywhere else in the world. The system has been mobilized to the fullest to lynch a man. I don’t know how Anwar does it. I don’t know how his wife and children can endure this. Though I don’t have any blood relationship with him or his family, I broke down into tears because I could no longer tolerate this.

If Anwar and his family decide to leave Malaysia for good, he would have my blessings and support. He has taken enough abuse. He has contributed to the nation in a big way. We should let him go. Let us use Anwar as a cause to rip apart the injustices in Malaysia. Let us be patient and rise to the occasion when Pru 13 comes. Let us not waste the opportunity to enhance democracy in Malaysia and make it a better home for its children.

Brother Anwar, go while you can. You are a symbol of freedom in Malaysia. I am honoring you with Bapa Kebebasan.
