Dr M, your theories no longer work. Even Malays are unhappy with you ...

Dear Tun Mahathir,

Our efforts to try and paint you in a more neutral light, under the weight of the accusations levelled at you have failed. People simply do not subscribe to your views. Not because, your views are radical, but most people have no faith in you anymore. Your readers, mostly corporate executives, business men and others from all walks of life living on the fast lane, do not believe in what you say anymore. They are right: your views mean very little to them. Anyone, associated with you will also be cast in a bad light.

That is the general conclusion. And yes, your views do suck, even though you are not trying to provoke, or maybe you are? Time and time again, your views are taken very seriously, and it has caused everyone, especially Non Malays to be deeply concerned.

Your association with Perkasa, has made people’s dislike of you turn into pure hatred. Your very name, conjures in them so much pain, so much disappointment, and so much sorrow that everyone will not leave you alone. Today, you are famous for all the wrong reasons.

Everything you say, only serve to turn the Non-Malays against you. You’d be surprised that one day Pakatan Rakyat may thank you for handing them Putrajaya on a silver platter.

Sadly, Malays are also not too fond of what you say about us. Your view that the Malays need crutches is downright insulting and a terrible embarrassment. After that you turn around and say that the Malay Race is superior. Superior in what?! Superior in being handicapped and crippled...so much so the government has to build handicap access from economic participation to toilets for us?

You keep telling us to be patient and to continue support for UMNO who has given us many crutches. What we received are just wooden crutches at RM2 a piece, easily eaten away by termites. The good state of the art aluminium crutches are reserved for the UMNO elite.

Please stop telling Non-Malays, that we have benefited from the NEP, and that we have benefitted from the Special Rights reserved for us. Ask any Malays out there, and they will say, Apa itu???

Ask the Malays what the government has done for them, and they will be hard-pressed to name one single benefit. Like I said before, only Non Malays believe Malays has Special Rights.

A few thousand scholarships to be shared by a few hundred thousand Malay students every year is not a special right.

Fertilizer subsidies are not special rights

Malay Reserve Land does not belong to us. It belongs to some rich landowners, and the land is worthless. Malays will not buy it as an investment, as it cannot be resold to Rich Non Malays for a profit.

And the myth, that being a Bumiputra, one has access to bank loans is just bull. Banks rather lend to non Bumis or anyone who has a better repayment record.

Discounts for house purchase do not benefit the Malays. It benefits rich Malay Opportunists. The majority of Malays still live in wooden kampong houses with leaking roofs.

Shares accorded to the Malays are automatically bought up by Non Malays using Malay IC’s for a mere RM50 ang pow.

And has the NEP benefited the Malays? The government must be joking; The Malays are still out there waiting for the NEP to come knocking at their doors. You cannot expect a farmer to be a Director of an international corporation, enjoying a 30 percent share. And today you can count less than a hundred of these Giant Corporations with a 30 percent Malay share. And with 100 Malays benefiting from the NEP, what happened to the rest of the 15 million hungry Malays?

Ketuanan Melayu. That I support if it is to do with our royalty, King and Country. But to support our greedy political leaders who still think they are entitled to rule forever, while ripping of the Nation in the name of Ketuanan Melayu is moronic.

The Princes of the Land ( our Bumiputra Status) and yet we still work as drivers, fishermen, farmers, drain sweepers, road inspectors, sewage haulers doesn’t make us feel very royal. Aren’t we supposed to sit up there on the throne, and tell everyone: off with their heads? The only time we feel like a King is when the Government comes crawling, trying to shake our hands, armed with election goodies, telling us how special we are, and begging on their knees for us to vote for them. And like the suckers that we are, we give into their sweet words, and vote them in again like in Kerdau and Merlimau.

Malays today are worse off, compared to Non-Malays due to utter neglect, false promises and the Fallacy that Malays have special rights.

You continue pitting Malaysians against each other, by saying that Malays have special rights. Then you tell the Malays that the Non-Malays are unhappy with Malays for having Special Rights, and I am supposed to defend your neutrality.

That’s why, Dear Tun, the Malays continue to accept you as Malay because you are Muslim. And we forgive you for not being able to help us, but please stop telling the Non Malays that we are special, unless we are really that special.

Yes, the Malays are special in their own way. Most of us are law abiding, god fearing, meek, naive, quiet, gentle and patient Race, and even though none of this Special Rights has trickled down to us, we still hope one day, we may get to enjoy it in Heaven.

We are unlike UMNO goons who stone vehicles, lay the streets with nails, act like hooligans and gangsters, and misuse our Faith to get what we want. So please don’t compare us with UMNO. If Non Malays continue to criticize our Race, Our Religion and our Malaysian-ness, it will be you to blame.

Best of Luck, and God bless
