KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 — Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan claimed that there was full anal penetration when he was allegedly sodomised by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, a government pathologist testified today.
Dr Razuin Rahimi, who was a medical officer working on June 28, 2008 — the day where Saiful lodged a police report againt Anwar said that she was the one who had interviewed Saiful and filled in parts of the proforma report.
Defence lawyers have previously challenged Saiful’s claims of penetration, as contents of the report had stated that there was only “attempted” rectal penetration, therefore indicating that no actual sodomy had taken place.
Lead prosecutor Datuk Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden sought to clarify the matter today and asked he what did “attempted” rectal penetration mean.
“Saiful said there was anal intercourse, however the rectum is located above the anus, and the word is confusing. At that moment, I do not know whether it reached the rectum.”
“(But) he ejaculated inside. (There was) penetration, I noted full (penetration) as I got it from Saiful,” said the doctor.
