Is BN a govt unable to protect its people or a govt willing to kill its people

Is BN a govt unable to protect its people or a govt willing to kill its people

As if Ibrahim Ali’s delusions are not enough, it seems there are others who share his schizophrenic vision.

A self-proclaimed nationalist and blogger with the pseudonym Panglima Perang Cyber has been sending emails with video from the infamous 1998 race riots in Indonesia.

“Are the Chinese in Malaysia willing to accept the same fate as their brethren in Indonesia if our country goes into chaos?

“So let us 1 Malaysia Malay, Chinese and Indians reject the Bersih demonstration for the good of our grandchildren. Watch the video below,” the email read.

The Indon example

This is a twisted individual bent on instilling and ensuring that fear would grip the minorities, in this case the Chinese, to the point they are unable to participate in what is essentially a non-violent, non-racial, non-religious rally that is demanding for fair and free elections.

Panglima Perang Cyber's idea of mayhem ala the Indonesian race riots, where homes were burnt and people hacked to death is a horrible and disgusting comparison for while he attempts to scare the Chinese with this warning, he has left out the obvious.

Is this blogger suggesting that right minded Malays would turn on their Chinese neighbours and start hacking, slashing and burning?

The only vision of violence is painted by those who have decided that they will act in that way - chief among all is Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa.

It was Ibrahim Ali who first painted the Bersih 2.0 rally with a racial undertone. And it is Ibrahim Ali who is out to stop the rally at all cost. It was Ibrahim Ali who first framed the thoughts of causing harm to the Chinese.

Thus, the ones with chaos in their minds are Perkasa and surely Ibrahim Ali.

Ops Lalang

For the Chinese, who have been unfairly singled out by bigots like Ibrahim Ali and Panglima Perang Cyber, it is time to make a stand and not to allow UMNO and their goons the right to dictate what, how and why you want reform in the election process.

For far too long the minorities and lately the Chinese have been blatantly and shamelessly blamed for the shortcomings of the BN government. UMNO finds it convenient to resurrect the ghost of the May 13, 1969 race riots to contain the Chinese in a sphere of fear. It is a convenient means for UMNO to deflect attention away from its own desperate need to cling to power.

The Home Minister’s reluctance to condemn and arrest Ibrahim Ali is a clear indication that UMNO is the hidden hand in all this. By allowing pandemonium to erupt, the ISA can be used to arrest without trial those deemed to be the culprits.

And these would turn out to be everyone except those who are the real trouble-makers - Ibrahim Ali and bloggers like Panglima Perang Cyber.

This tactic to justify the use of ISA against opposition leaders and those friendly towards the opposition was used Mahathir Mohamad during the October 27, 1987 Operations Lalang. And Najib, with half his smarts is attempting to do the same come July 9th, 2011.

A government unable to protect the people

The world is watching and all this has merely painted a picture of a government unable to protect its own people. The BN government has forgotten that it is a government for the people of Malaysia. It believes it has the right to exist on its own, for for itself and by itself. This is how crazy it has become in Malaysia.

BN has long stopped listening to the voice of the people, choosing instead to repress the right to freedom of expression.

It is time, that the minorities and especially the Chinese make a stand, not in a show of physical force or violence, but better still, by the ballot box.

BN has served its time and has lost the confidence of the people.

Enough is enough. When a government threatens to kill its own people, which would be called genocide, then it is time to vote out that government. And this is called survival.
