MIC youth sec-gen to know fate next week

The CWC will meet to decide on C Sivarraajh's move to file a report with the ROS over the reinstatement of three sacked leaders.

PETALING JAYA: MIC Youth secretary general C Sivarraajh’s political fate will be known next Tuesday when the party’s central working committee meets.

The party’s disciplinary committee chairman KS Nijhar confirmed that the issue will be tabled by the committee.

“We have to raise the issue as he has made a complaint with the Registrar of Societies. We also would like to look into his allegations,” he told FMT today.

Sivarraajh lodged a report with the Registrar of Societies against MIC following the party’s decision to re-admit and reinstate three CWC members in April.

He questioned the legality of the move as the party’s constitution only allowed readmission after two years.

He also questioned the CWC’s motive as it was responsible in axing the trio – deputy youth chief V Mugilan, CWC members KP Samy and G Kumar Amaan.

He also questioned Mugilan’s motive in announcing his intention to contest for the youth chief post currently held by T Mohan.

Mugilan, Samy and Kumar were the main forces behind the now-defunct Gerakan Anti-Samy Vellu movement or GAS.

Subsequently, KP Samy explained that the readmission was done via an amnesty programme to reunite the party.
