AMPANG, July 17 — PAS has denied rumours that cancer-stricken Titiwangsa MP Dr Lo’ Lo’ Ghazali died today.
A few PKR politicians had posted news of the PAS MP’s death on micro-blogging site Twitter earlier this afternoon.
“It’s just rumours; it’s not true,” said PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang in a joint conference with vice-presidents Salahuddin Ayub and Datuk Mahfuz Omar, as well as secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali today.
When The Malaysian Insider contacted Dr Lo’ Lo’s mobile phone number, a man believed to be her son picked up the call and also denied the rumours.
“She is still receiving treatment; she’s still alive,” he said.
The 54-year-old first-term MP (picture), who is in critical condition, is being treated at Selayang Hospital.
A post on her official Twitter account, @Docmarjan, also denied rumours of the doctor’s death and asked for supporters to offer prayers.
