Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the former premier, had challenged Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to produce the alleged letter claiming for financially assistance from World Bank during the financial crisis sometime in 1999.
Knowing Tun Dr Mahathir, he will either claim ' it look like my letter but its not written by me" or " I don't remember since it happen a long time ago", if Datuk Seri Anwar were to produce the alleged letter.
Another possibility would be, it could be classified as Government Secret and cannot be revealed and covered under the Official Secrets Act (OSA).
Looking at the manner in Tun Dr Mahathir's challenge against Datuk Seri Anwar to show the alleged letter, there seems to be another hidden agenda. Tun Dr Mahathir has also demanded that Datuk Seri Anwar is required to swear on the Holy Quran. Is Tun Dr Mahathir trying to confuse Muslims in his attempt to hoodwink them.
UMNO has been trying its level best to jail Anwar before the in pending 13th General Elections which many sources claim could be held next year. UMNO is going to face the biggest ever election with its faith in the balance. After 54 years, UMNO seems by citizen as a corrupt and incapable government which they no longer require.
UMNO is trying very hard to change its faith by hoodwinking the public from getting any adverse reports against UMNO or Barisan Nasional (BN) while trying its best to get rid of its opponents, especially Datuk Seri Anwar, the former deputy premier under Tun Dr Mahathir, who is aware of many government secrets and dealings from coming public that will see the demise of UMNO/BN rule.
