Malay rights pressure group Perkasa today led 1,000 people in a demonstration against Federal Land Authority (Felda) director-general Zulkifli Wahab.
The demonstrators are demanding an internal audit on all departments within Felda to remove “traitors”, whom they claim includes Zulkifli.
Perkasa deputy president Abdul Rahman Abu Bakar said action must be taken against Zulkifli because he was an obstacle to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s “transformation efforts” towards Felda.
Abdul Rahman alleged that Zulkifli was the person who forwarded a copy of a confidential correspondences between Felda chairperson Isa Samad and Najib.
At about 12.30pm, the protestors gathered at about 500m from Wisma Felda at Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur before marching while carrying banners denouncing PAS-linked NGO Anak.
Anak, which claims to represent the Felda settlers, have been at the fore in protesting against the listing of Felda Global Ventures Bhd, a position reportedly shared by Zulkifli.
Zulkifli was also asked to go on a study leave, beginning Nov 25, under controversial circumstances.
Protestors includes Felda settlers, Perkasa and Umno members.
