Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak today advised Felda settlers to disregard opposition agitation that the listing of Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGVH) will be to the detriment of settlers of the land scheme.
"Have no fear because it (the listing) will bring a windfall for the people of Felda," he said when opening the general meeting of the Al-Wardah Pahang Welfare and Education Club at Felda Chini Timur, Pekan.
He said the listing of FGVH was further evidence of the government's concern for the welfare of the Felda settlers and the award of various bonuses and incentives to them.
The prime minister reiterated his assurance to Felda settlers nationwide that they will enjoy a windfall soon after the listing of FGVH on Bursa Malaysia in the middle of this year.
"As I said when tabling Budget 2012, Felda settlers will enjoy a windfall.
"Have no fear because it (the listing) will bring a windfall for the people of Felda," he said when opening the general meeting of the Al-Wardah Pahang Welfare and Education Club at Felda Chini Timur, Pekan.
