The dirty RM 500!!

RM 500 for the year 2012, which will make an average of RM1.37 per day is what we get for something big that we might lose.
Suara Demokrasi

When you look at the title, you might get a shadow image on what am I going to talk today. I know its a late comment for the RM 500 give away for the individual with household income less that RM 3000. This issue has been criticized enough by many bloggers out there. But I am strong with my view that “Malaysians mudah lupa”.
RM 500 for the year 2012, which will make an average of RM1.37 per day is what we get for something big that we might lose.

RM 1.37 per day, what can we do with that money? One liter of petrol costs us RM 1.90, if you choose RON 97 then it is RM 2.90 which is more then the double amount than we are getting. One day pocket money for a standard one child is minimum RM 1.50. Public transport fee, minimum RM 0.70, RM 1.37 is not enough for you to travel to and fro. For a Rawang resident who works in Kuala Lumpur, he have to pay RM 7.20 for PLUS toll to and fro. For a Bangi resident who works in Kuala Lumpur, he have to pay RM 23.00 for toll to and fro. Two roti canai will cost even more than what they give us. Basically, BN is just buying for us one ‘teh tarik’ per day. Still it is not enough for me , as I’m a great fan of  ’teh halia’.

A teh tarik per day, will make BN stay

This is nothing but another dirty trick played by Barisan Nasional government to hold their current position and to divert people’s attention towards reformation. RM 500 is used as baits to fish voters and to maintain the current rural supporters. Obviously, for a man who earns RM 500 per month, this sum will be like one month bonus. As we know the rural voters are the asset of BN to win the election. That  is probably the strong reason for them to maintain the rural people’s standard in such way.

Will RM 500 solve the substandard education system problems in our country? Will it solve the discrimination towards the poor in this country? Will it solve the racism or gangsterism problems in this country? Will this solve the double standard judiciary system and police department in this country? Will this solve the mass growth of corruption in this country?

When this reward is not solving the people’s problem financially or socially or even politically, Do we actually need the RM 500, Mr. Najib?

So, this is clean and clear political gimmick played by Barisan Nasional. This situation seems to be like applying varnish on a rotten wood, it may look beautiful but the quality will remain the same. The rotten wood here is Barisan Nasional!!
