Perkasa dares NFC to counter RM600,000 misuse claim
Malay rights group Perkasa today challenged cattle-rearing project operator National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) to lodge a police report denying allegations that it had used credit cards to misuse RM600,000 of the company's funds.
Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali dared NFC executive director Wan Shahinur Izmir Salleh to make the report, since he has been the onemaking the denials.
"I challenge Izmir to make the police report, and also to declare that the allegations of the (PKR-linked NGO) Jingga 13 against the NFC thus far are false," Ibrahim said.
On Monday, in response to PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli's allegation over credit card expenses, Izmir said that these were corporate cards meant for business development expenses.
“There are no personal expenses as alleged. The business development expenses by the four directors reflect the magnitude of its multi-million ringgit sales,” said Izmir, stressing that the facts are with the relevant authorities.
Rafizi claimed four family members of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, had spent a total of RM593,500 in 2009 with credit cards, with the money coming from the NFC funds.
The PKR leader, who is in charge of the party's expose on the NFC, said the four who hold management posts in NFC had swiped the credit cards that are charged to the company for expenses between RM122,402 and RM182,525 each.
