Cops miffed over marches and children

Kuantan district police chief Mohd Jasmani Yusof has expressed disappointment with Himpunan Hijau 2.0 organisers for breaching the law and conditions that were mutually agreed earlier.
These infractions includes holding processions and the presence of children at the rally. Processions are banned under the newly passed Peaceful Assembly Act 2011.
NONE"We've met and had an agreement but yet they marched and brought children. This is not very good," said Jasmani (right).
Jasmani was approached at a temporary police beat base set up about 200 metres from the Kuantan Municipal Council field where the rally was taking place.
Asked if police will take action against organisers, he replied: "Nevermind".

However, Jasmani said the police will investigate the alleged violations and call up the organisers to advise them.
He said so today's rally can be a good future example, describing today's event as the "first test" of the Peaceful Assembly Act.
For crowd estimates, Jasmani puts the number at 3,000, which is a far cry from the 10,000 claimed by rally organisers.
He added that there is an ambulance on standby.
