CENTRE POINT SABAH new look





The new look ...... BRIGHT Centre Point Sabah at night which is expected to be completed in August 2012.

Centre Point Building is set to be 'role model' and focus on external and domestic visitors when it is modified in its design more to the lighting of the LED, such as buildings in urban Taiwan.
According to the Managing Director of Centre Point Sabah, Andrew Chang Chi Ming, modify and upgrade work is expected to take four months, thus showing interesting design with eco-friendly environment.
Centre Point Sabah, officially opened in 1990 and has become part of community shopping centers in the city of Kota Kinabalu (KK) of about 22 years.
"We are taking initiatives to improve and upgrade the physical and beautify the CPS building to move forward with the people of KK city about 20 years earlier.
"Construction work for the CPS overhaul will begin soon and it will take about four months to complete which will cover the exterior and interior," he said.
Appearance of the exterior, the CPS will look different in the daytime and at night as there are signs and colorful advertisements will cheer KK City.
Outside the complex environment will be decorated with green trees that reflect the eco-friendly city.
In the meantime, the use of LED lights can provide in addition to electricity savings can be used in the long term.
Complex to be used externally and aluminum grille and timber as the material is eco-friendly products such as those used in most buildings in Taiwan.
Meanwhile, the CPS will provide toilets for the physically challenged (disabled) as a start caring approach to society.
"Sensor automatically flushing toilets will be used to conserve water while providing a clean and comfortable toilet for customers who visit the complex.
"The room dining is on the ground floor will be converted to complex CPS good lighting and comfortable, while tables and chairs will be replaced to provide a wide range.
"To avoid ganggguan to tenants and customers, CPS will maintain operations during the repair period and shall ensure that security measures are tight in the vicinity of the upgrade. (Theborneopost)

  1. Centre Point was one of the first Mall in Kota Kinabalu before the was 1Borneo or other shopping mall that is booming in Kota Kinabalu in recent years.

  4. Apart from that, this move is also inline with the call of the Ministry Of tourism and culture Sabah to make Kota Kinabalu a shopping destination.
