Gombak assemblyperson Hasan Ali today attended the Selangor state assembly as an Independent representative following his sacking by PAS.
“I have no problems. I was sacked from PAS with dignity. It was not over corruption, not over sodomy,” he said cynically.
Speaking to reporters after the Selangor sultan officiated the new session of the state assembly today, Hasan said he intends to continue to raise issues of race, religion and royalty, his trademark rallying cry, throughout the two-week session.

He said the state assembly needs to debate the issue, and claimed that Malay special rights are being threatened by “extinction”.
