Hasan recycles personal attacks against Azmin

Gombak Setia state assemblyperson Hasan Ali today hurled a slew of counter-allegations against PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, following the exposé of the former’s expensive office renovation during his tenure as a Selangor exco member.

"Since I am willing to answer Azmin's allegation, now it's my turn to ask him to answer my questions as the rakyat in this state are curious after years of silence from him ," he said at a press conference at his Kuala Lumpur residence this afternoon.

Earlier, the former exco had shot down allegations of wasteful spending, stressing that all of them had received approval from the Selangor government.

Going on the offensive, Hasan listed five allegations against Azmin, which warrants a public explanation from the former. The five issues raised by Hasan are as follows:

1. Explain Azmin's financial source who is alleged, along with his wife, to have purchased RM2 million of shares between 1992 to 1994 when his pay was believed to be only RM2,000 at the time.

2. Respond to allegations by the Yayasan Pembangunan India Malaysia chairperson SA Vickneswaran's which claimed that Azmin, his wife and an in-law had possessed shares valuing up to RM8.5 million in the early 1990s.

3. Respond to claims by Azmin's sister Umi Hafilda that he has not visited his mother for eight months and is on the verge of severing his relationship with her.

4. Respond to allegations in a book entitled ‘Tuhan, Politik dan Seks' by Syed Hussin Al-Attas that Azmin was aware of an alleged intimate relationship between his wife and opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim

5. Respond to challenges to perform to DNA test on his daughter (name withheld, as she is a minor) to verify that he is the biological father.

None of these allegations are new, while some of them have been answered or denied years ago, such as the case the alleged affair,Azmin’s paternity and Vigneswaran’s share deal allegation.
