PM Hj Najib Urges People to Reject Opposition’s "Stories"

(The Choice) - While opposition leaders are busy fighting with each other about Israel and hudud or jet-setting to Dubai for international conferences, the Prime Minister continues to travel across the length and breadth of the country, meeting the people. And listening to their concerns.

Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been visiting Perak and Selangor this weekend to feel the pulse of the people.

In Perak on Saturday, he reminded the people not to forsake their future by listening to the Opposition's allegations and promises.

"The opposition's stories cannot be relied upon, because they don't have the capacity to administer the country efficiently. Even now they seem to be in chaos," he said.

Najib pointed out that the Barisan Nasional (BN) government had ensured the continued prosperity of Malaysians, by successfully reducing the national debt and boosting economic growth.

"This means that we are able to administer the country well, manage the national economy efficiently. (We) ensure that the national economy can continue to expand, national revenue increases, (and) when we achieve such success, we return the national wealth to the people," said the Prime Minister in Perak on Saturday.

On Sunday, Najib is visiting Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Puchong in Selangor. All these constituencies are currently controlled by Pakatan Rakyat (PR), except Tapah where MIC vice president Datuk M Saravanan is MP.

According to Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) coordinator Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed, Najib's working visit is being held under the 'People's Conscience' programme.

The Prime Minister is to perform the Asar prayers at Surau Al-Fatinah in Putra Perdana, Puchong, and meet imams, nazirs and the committee members of local suraus and mosques.

Najib is also attending the 30th anniversary celebration of the Sri Murugan Centre at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Vivekananda, Jalan Templer, Petaling Jaya, and meet representatives of associations and non-government bodies.

The highlight of Najib's visit was to be his 'Prime Minister with the people' gathering on Sunday afternoon at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Putra Perdana.

According to Mohd Zin, Najib wanted to ensure that his efforts met the needs of the local people and were being implemented according to schedule.

Merdeka Center director Ibrahim Suffian pointed out that this "hands-on" approach was Najib's hallmark as a leader, and the Prime Minister preferred to meet people personally rather than relying on intermediaries.

This visit by Najib demonstrates once again the difference between his clear vision and the Opposition's lack of one.

The Prime Minister's style of leadership is also expected to show people in Perak and Selangor that by voting for BN they can expect an administration that is more efficient and accountable.
