In another surprising move today, Kita leader Zaid Ibrahim announced that his party will not be dissolved and he will be contesting in the Kota Bharu parliamentary seat under Kita banner come the next general election.
“The candidates of Pakatan and BN don’t have much experience, and I am the veteran there, so I think I am better compared to the two,” he told a press conference at Petaling Jaya.
He also said Kita will be announcing its candidates for the next general election later this month.
He said Kita will not be dissolved after having resolved the internal crisis in Kedah and Penang.
“It was a mistake for taking them in, but since we removed them, no more mistakes now,” the former de facto law minister said, referring to Zamil Ibrahim, the former Kedah Kita chairperson, and Tan Tee Beng, former Penang Kita chairperson.
