DAP Sabah laughed off the claim by Tun Mahathir saying that Sabah would be the richest state soon. State Assistant Junz Wong said that he could never imagine our Ex Prime Minister of Malaysia for 22 years would say something that naive to belittle Sabahans intelligence. This showed that BN is very desperate now.
Junz wanted to remind Tun Mahathir that his promises back in 1994 were yet to be fulfilled. Tun Mahathir has promised 'Sabah Baru' to resolve the problems of basic facilities & infrastructures ie. water electricity and roads when BN took over Sabah state Government in 1994 election.
It has been 18 years now but Sabah is still facing problems of the most basic needs and facilities!
Recent incidents of electricity blackouts in Sabah has basically explained it all. The fact that PM Najib last visit to Sandakan has to endure another blackout has proven 'Sabah Baru' a political LIE for 18 years!
Junz Wong, who is also DAPSY Assistant Youth Chief elaborated, "Many Sabahans still don't have access to clean water & electricity. They have fallen into the hardcore poverty crisis. Sabah has been made over from the second richest state into the poorest state ever since BN rule Sabah.
"Now Tun Mahathir has the guts and came to tell Sabahans that we would be the richest state again soon?" Junz asked.
"Don't come and insult the intelligence of Sabahans! We are no longer gullible.
Promise has been made, chance has been given. now its time to move on. Now its time for UBAH!" Junz concluded. (DAP Media)
