Police form special panel to probe brutality claims


Police have set up a special panel to look into allegations of police brutality during Bersih 3.0.

NONEThe team is tasked with gathering all information and statements to assist in the investigation into “allegations against the police”, said inspector-general of police (IGP) Ismail Omar.

Ismail, in a statement today, World Press Freedom Day, called on the media to “fair and balanced” in reporting about the issue.

    Agensi berita antarabangsa mendapati rating Najib jatuh balik berikut dengan reaksi kerajaan dan polis terhadap tunjuk perasaan Bersih 3.0 "Duduk Bantah" yang mendapat sokongan rakyat luar biasa pada petang 28 April lalu.

    Tindakan2 keganasan pihak polis yang disebarkan hanya satu bentuk provokasi untuk mencemarkan imej kerajaan.
