Candid camera: Khalid dares RPK to bare all

Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has challenged fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin to disclose the entire clip of a hidden camera footage depicting him working in his office.

NONE“I encourage him to show the entire video so that everyone can watch,” Khalid said when asked about the clip after the Selangor state executive council meeting today.

Commenting on the video which first came to light in an article on Raja Petra’s Malaysia Today blog, the former corporate figure said he expected such an act to come as part and parcel of politics.

“I devoted myself to politics. This is a fun game, so just go ahead (and publish the video).

NONE“I must say I find it very irritating, very irresponsible, but since this is the way of life (of a politician), I have to bear with it,” he said.
Khalid also appeared nonchalant when asked about the hidden camera footage yesterday.

Stressing that he had "nothing to hide", the Ijok assemblyperson added that the state government believes in transparency.

Raja Petra had speculated that the hidden camera may have been installed by Khalid's enemies to catch him in a compromising position with his aide, Rahimah Kamarudin.

He claimed that those close to PKR deputy president Azmin Ali were upset because Rahimah had "too much power".

Raja Petra also claimed that those close to Azmin were in possession of more video footage that are damaging to Khalid.

In August 2010, Khalid said he found a video camera hidden in his office, which contained a footage of two people in the process of replacing the batteries of the camera.
