PAS President Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang has called on all party members and leaders to get themselves prepared for BN's plan to create bickering among PAS leaders in the run-up to the 13th general election.
Hadi said all members of the party must be on the highest alert to deal with mischief and provocation from the media, adding that ties between PAS and DAP as well as PKR would continue to be their target to weaken Pakatan Rakyat.
“Do not retreat. Do not be confused. Listen to the guide and official statements issued by the top leadership from time to time. All in the party must refrain from making mistakes which can undermine us in the eyes of the public,” he told in his presidential address this morning at the 58th PAS Muktamar in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan.
Hadi reminded activists to be steadfast in their struggle for Islam and warned them against complacency.
He said PAS members should not get involved in matters detrimental to the party's struggle such as busying over petty matters.
In his speech, themed "Forging Unity through a Benevolent State", Hadi also reiterated PAS's commitment to Pakatan Rakyat in their bid to oust UMNO-BN from Putrajaya.
He said the focus of the party now must be the 13th general election not only to secure the states governed by PR but also to widen PR administration at the Federal level.
“I call on all state governments under PAS together with Pakatan Rakyat - to utilise the remaining time to solve the people’s issues and continue charity work without abandoning party work so that it reaches every layer of society,” he stressed.
