A lewd remark uttered by UMNO's Batang Kali state representative to Selangor state exco Elizabeth Wong has been condemned as "sexist and obscene" by PKR-linked pressure group Jingga 13.
In a statement, the group's spokesperson Afy Adriamie Saharudin said Mohd Isa Abu Kassim, who uttered the remark during a discussion in the Selangor state assembly yesterday on the alleged encroachment of the Templer Park forest reserve, was not someone who was fit to represent the people.
"Is this the member of the state legislative assembly, possessing such a dirty and twisted mind, who the people elected into this august house?" she asked.
"All women should reject the UMNO state assemblyman for his insulting and narrow-minded attitude."

Yesterday, Isa launched what was clearly a sexual innuendo targeted at Wong, who in 2009 briefly resigned from her position as state exco in charge of Tourism, Consumer Affairs and Environment after saying that she had been sexually harassed and victimised following unauthorised publication of her private photographs.
"I am happy that the exco is taking care of the forest reserves from encroachment activities. But don't forget to look after the 'forest' on your body," Musa said. (Original wording: "Jangan sampai lupa jaga hutan diri you sendiri".
Wong however responded by saying that she was not surprised by Musa's language, saying it was a norm among UMNO politicians.
Jingga 13 meanwhile demanded that Musa be referred to the state assembly's rights and privileges committee.
"Jingga 13 urges all Malaysian women especially in Selangor to take a stand by rejecting all UMNO-BN candidates at the 13th general election, for clearly not showing respect to women," Afy added.
