IPOH- Police have sent a VCD purportedly of the state legislative assembly Speaker Datuk R. Ganesan involved in a sex act in Thailand to forensic experts to be analysed.
Ipoh police chief Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong said the police were awaiting confirmation on the authenticity of the recording before deciding the next course of action.
"Police have recorded statements from several individuals to facilitate the investigation carried out by the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department," he said when contacted.
When asked about rumours that the recording of the VCD was fake, Sum said the final conclusion could only be made after receiving the forensic report.
Ganesan, who lodged the report at the police headquarters here last Saturday has denied any involvement in a sex scandal.
