Perkasa wants two-thirds majority for BN in GE13

Malay rights pressure group Perkasa today pledged support for the BN in the next general election in order for the ruling coalition to get a two-thirds majority and form a strong government.

Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali read out the pledge in front of 5,000 delegates and observers at their annual general meeting at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur today.

"We pledge we will not be divided, surrender or become traitors in order to safeguard the religion, race and country.

"We pledge to help ensure BN's victory in order for it to obtain a two-thirds majority," said Ibrahim during his policy speech.

Ibrahim, who is also Pasir Mas independent MP said if BN regains the two-thirds majority, issues relating to the Malay rulers and Islam would not be raised by other races.

He urged all Perkasa members to support all BN candidates in the coming election. The NGO is said to have over 352,000 members nationwide.
