Time to burst the dam

Can the rakyat be wise enough to do what is right by waking up in time for the polls?
COMMENT
Does the recent suspension of a bank employee who had predicted that Pakatan Rakyat may win the 13th general election by a very slim margin indicate that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is not in complete control of things pertaining to government, administration and Barisan Nasional?
Najib is a leader who likes to adopt a safe approach. Otherwise, why is he delaying the dissolution of Parliament? It is simply because he wants to make sure that he can win big before dissolving the Dewan Rakyat.
It is simply not his style to antagonise people so close to the polls when he wants to be seen as a gracious leader.
To that end, he had thanked the opposition for the smooth-running of the KL112 (People’s Uprising Rally) on Jan 12.
No, the suspension of the bank employee (actually a chief economist of the bank) is just not his style but the style of someone who gives no quarters to the enemy.
And recently too, earlier this month, Dr Michael D Jeyakumar, the Pakatan MP for Sungai Siput, had lost his court case pertaining to obtaining his yearly allocation. This sum of money is disbursed by the BN federal government but so far only the BN MPs are getting it.
This is a landmark case and if Jeyakumar had won, all the Pakatan MPs would also be getting their annual allocation which, at RM1.5 million, is substantial and is to be used by an MP for the needs of his constituents such as aiding the flood victims, tarring the roads, giving out school bags, building bridges and countless other needs.
The truly powerful one
Najib too wants to win at all cost but he is less daring and more cautious of his image and therefore recently he had said that peaceful transition of power is the norm in Malaysian society.
Hopefully, he keeps his promise in the event Pakatan wins the 13th general election in line with his Janji Ditepati (Promises Fulfilled) slogan.
Has Najib lost a lot of power and is now only waiting to be assigned the task of dissolving Parliament?
Note that Najib has not commented much about the KL112 event but others in his party have labelled it as a failure.
His absence during the recent New Year Eve celebrations when he is in the pink of health is also something to ponder about.
This all points to only one thing – that the “Empress Dowager” is truly the one in power.
Truth be told, the “Empress” is like a mountain, solid, timeless and lasting through the ages. People come and go, kingdoms rise and fall but the mountain is always there and so is the “Empress Dowager” who has wielded power for a long span of time.
Therefore the real and most powerful one whom the rakyat must fight against is none other than this mighty mountain “Empress” for truly this is the person who started all things such as piratisation and cronyism.
Bursting the dam
In Chinese metaphysics, the mountain which is of the earth element is the element where all things originate. So it is not surprising that the “Empress” has started a system that has stood the test of time.
The earth element also symbolises the dam and the people’s movement is symbolised by water.
The dam who is the “Empress” controls the water which is the rakyat. Has the time come for the raging waters to burst the dam?
Another analogy from Chinese metaphysics is this: Umno is the mighty giant segovia cactus while Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan Rakyat are the scissors. Can the scissors cut down the cactus? No, certainly not.
You need to chop down the cactus at the root itself and this time, only this one time in history, the powerful axe comes in the Water Snake year of 2013 and Anwar and Pakatan are standing ready.
The rakyat must thus use this axe and use it well to help Anwar and Pakatan chop down Umno.
This is the only one time opportunity for all eternity and this formula in Chinese metaphysics will never come again.
In the Malaysian political scenario, it also shows that Pakatan has to win the 13th general election.
This is the best and only chance Malaysians have but can the rakyat be wise enough to do what is right by waking up in time for the polls?
