PKR Boustead-LTAT tour to target military camps

Starting tomorrow, PKR will embark on a road tour of major military camps in the country to explain the Boustead-Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) controversy to military personnel.

NONE"We will hold our ceramahs as close to the camps as possible," said its director of strategy Rafizi Ramli (left), explaining that party members may face difficulties getting into the camps itself.

However, he said that PKR-friendly military veterans from ex-sevicemen NGO Pahlawan has networks with military personnel in and around the army camps, and they will be making use of that.

Their maiden stop will be at the Wardieburn Army Camp in Setiawangsa, before moving on to the naval base in Lumut, the Sg Besi army camp, Port Dickson navy base and later on to the Royal Malaysian Air Force bases in Kuantan and Butterworth.

The tour's aim will be to explain to military personnel how their monthly contributions to LTAT is allegedly being misused via the military trust-controlled Boustead Holdings Bhd to buy out businessperson Deepak Jaikishan and pay off Selangor Wanita Umno chief Raja Ropiaah Raja Abdullah.
