Lawyers representing Shahnaz A Majid have obtained an interim order requiring her ex-husband Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib, the Sarawak chief minister's son, to pay maintenance fees exceeding RM902,000.

The Kuala Lumpur Syariah High Court made the order toay when granting the ex-parte application by Shahnaz.
Judge Mohd Amran Mat Zain also ordered Mahmud (right)to pay the sum within 12 days from today.
The couple were divorced on March 11, 2011.
