Tee Yong: Incompetence & impotence at defusing Perak infighting driving Kit Siang to Johor

The real reason why DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang is transferring himself to Gelang Patah in Johor is not to bring about change, but instead, to hide his own incompetence and to divert the public’s attention from it.

This is a normal trick for DAP, and below is a list of proof of Kit Siang’s incompetence which has forced him to bolt for Johor;

1. When Pakatan came to power in Kedah, they demolished the sole pig abattoir in the state, tightened the sales of liquor license, implemented a 50% Bumiputra housing quota, forced all female models on billboards to wear headscarves and wordings be written in Jawi, include PAS Islamic policies in the administration of the state.

All these go against the rights and interest of non-Muslims. When the Kedah Chinese community objected to PAS’ policies, did you see Lim Kit Siang at the forefront fighting for their rights? Did DAP play their role in the state exco to correct the injustice? Was Kit Siang able to ensure that PAS treated the Kedah Chinese community fairly? No. What we see is DAP making peace with PAS without caring about the interest of the Chinese community in Kedah.

2. It is no secret that Perak DAP is broken into 2 factions and both sides are bitterly fighting each other. Despite Kit Siang being in Perak for 5 years as the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timur, he has failed to defuse the power struggle and is now forced to leave.

3. The economic development in Johor has grown better in the past few years, and the Iskandar Malaysia region is attracting foreign investors. The problems and needs of the Chinese community here are also looked into and resolved by the BN government, such as allocating land for Chinese schools to relocate, the upgrading of Southern College to university college status, and the awarding of land to temples and new villages.

On the other hand, what about the fate of the Chinese community in Kelantan? If Kit Siang were to bring change there, then it will be a good thing. Instead, Kit Siang is planning to “UBAH” Johor to save Penang’s poor performance in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).

4. DAP’s seats in the other states have been hijacked by their friends in Pakatan, and they have been forced to make concessions which have caused dissatisfaction amongst their grassroots. Thus, it is foolish for Kit Siang to bring up the topic of MCA’s seats when DAP faces the same problem.

Both Kit Siang and DAP are only good in using their mouths to engage in politics. They spew slogans and create hatred, but he has never gone around solving the people’s problems.

Therefore, it is better for the people to reject politicians like him and to continue supporting the BN government which is made up of a strong team so that we can continue serving therakyat.
