Thanenthiran: Indians should forgive Zul Noordin
The Indian community in the country should forgive Zulkifli Nordin, the Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Shah Alam parliamentary seat candidate for the 13th general election over his statement deemed insulting to the community and Hindus in the country.
Makkal Sakti Malaysia Party president RS Thanenthiiran (right) said the Indian community should not only forgive Zulkifli but also give the BN candidate a chance in GE13 on May 5.
“We (Indian community and Hindus) should forgive him and give him a chance as it is more honourable to forgive,” he told Bernama in Kuala Lumpur today.
He said it was the culture of the Indian community and of many other communities to forgive a person who repented his past actions.
On April1, Zulkfili had made an apology to Malaysian Hindus over disparaging remarks he made on their religion some 10 years ago when he was a PAS member.
Thanenthiiran added that the party’s 90,000 members would be going house-to-house to canvass support for the BN ahead of polling day on May 5.
