“No one knows him more than his own siblings and family so with our knowledge of him, I will be able to defeat him if the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak decides to field me as a candidate against Azmin,” she said.
Ummi Hafilda, who shot to fame through her role as the prosecution’s witness in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s first sodomy trial in 1998, has been on a campaign to discredit the PKR de facto leader, Azmin and the party in general.
Azmin, who is her older brother, is the PKR deputy president and the incumbent Gombak MP and Bukit Antarabangsa state assemblyman.
“Even if Najib does not select me to contest against Azmin, I do not mind as I will continue with my mission to reveal the truth about Anwar, Azmin and PKR,” she said in a brief press conference last night after delivering a two and a half hour ceramah at Kuala Sungai Pinang here.
In the last two months, Ummi Hafilda has been making her rounds spewing vitriol against her three targets.
“I have confronted Anwar directly nine times in the past 15 years and each time, he had run away from me so I will continue to follow his campaign trail throughout this election period,” said the Umno member.
She also accused Anwar of dodging her challenge for a debate, before daring him to sue her for defamation.
“I want Anwar to sue me so that I can reveal even more evidence of Anwar’s wrongdoings,” she said.
Despite the preponderance of Azmin and Anwar in her speeches, Ummi Hafilda insisted she was more than just harping against and claimed to be bringing her brand of change to the her ceramahs.
Last night, which is her second ceramah in Penang, saw some 200 people attend the event despite a heavy downpour.
She previously spoke in Anwar’s Permatang Pauh, and tonight, she will be delivering a ceramah at Kepala Batas.
Having previously accused Anwar of bisexuality and tarred him as the “Father of Corruption”, Ummi Hafilda entertained the audience with her lively and humorous anecdotes about Anwar.
She also praised Najib’s various transformation programmes for the nation and painted former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed as a “moral and ethical” leader.
Aside from angling for a chance to contest in Election 2013, the 46-year-old has set up a non-governmental organisation, Sri Kandi 7, specifically targeting Anwar over its claims he was a traitor to the country.
“After the elections, this NGO will focus on Malay development and the social welfare of Malays,” she said.
She claimed the organisation, which was set up about two years ago, has garnered thousands of members as at each ceramah she held.
“I will continue in my campaign against Anwar, Azmin and PKR until I destroy these traitors of the country,” she said.
