Are these dubious voters or foreign workers?

FMT readers have snapped photographs of foreigners with BN T-shirts arriving at airports today.
PETALING JAYA: Are these some of the foreigners who are being flown into Peninsular Malaysia from Sabah to allegedly vote for Barisan Nasional?
FMT readers today e-mailed us photographs taken at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in Sepang showing the arrival of these foreigners, some of whom were wearing BN T-shirts, and others seen putting on 1Malaysia caps.
According to FMT readers, these new arrivals were whisked away from the arrival hall and taken away to waiting busses.
“There are also some people who act as guards, protecting these new arrivals. They are bundled together and taken away,” said a reader who wanted to remain anonymous.
Another reader said the new arrivals at the LCCT were “protected” by police personnel and taken away from the main arrival hall.
It must be stated that it could not be confirmed if these new arrivals are dubious voters or genuine legal foreign workers arriving to work in Malaysia.
However, the timing of the arrival so close to the general election as well as their BN T-shirts do raise some doubts.
Yesterday, Pakatan Rakyat leader Anwar Ibrahim raised concerns over leaked information that BN was flying in dubious voters from Sabah to vote here in the peninsula.
Anwar alleged that about 40,000 people were being flown in using 16 chartered flights from East Malaysia to vote here, mainly Selangor.
He also said that he had photographic evidence of the matter and claimed that the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) was involved in it.
While the PMO had denied playing any role in ferrying in these voters, BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor yesterday admitted that there were flights being chartered to ferry voters from East Malaysia to vote in the peninsula.
However, he did not touch on the legitimacy of the voters and merely said that flights were paid for by BN-friendly individuals and organisations.
Leaked internal e-mails
Meanwhile, PKR leader R Sivarasa today urged BN leaders to give more details on the voters being ferried in order to cast out any doubts on the legitimacy of the voters.
“Are they really Malaysians? Tengku Adnan did not answer that question.
“Give us details. On the face of it, it looks highly suspicious,” said Sivarasa.
Also yesterday whistleblower site Sarawak Report produced leaked e-mails from Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia to show that the PMO was aware of the plans to charter flights to bring in these foreigners as voters.
FMT reported last Friday that a covert operation was rumoured to be underway to ferry individuals from Sabah to Selangor and Johor on late night unscheduled charter flights in time for the May 5 polls.
Earlier this week, Anwar told a ceramah in Pandan that dubious voters were being prepared to ensure the defeat of several Pakatan candidates, including his daughter Nurul Izzah Anwar at Lembah Pantai, DAP’s Tony Pua at PJ Selatan, PKR’s Rafizi Ramli at Pandan and he himself at Permatang Pauh.
