BLIND ARROGANCE & BRUTE FORCE: Is that all Umno-BN is good for?

BLIND ARROGANCE & BRUTE FORCE: Is that all Umno-BN is good for?
Following close on the heels of the historic Gen-Y Wave at Kelana Jaya, there appears to be some big-wigs within BN and even those inclined to parrot the BN who are speaking up against BN and especially UMNO. But they forget the important milestones on the global socio-political sphere, which is what that is drowning BN today.
BN must know that what is sweeping across Malaysia is not the work of the Opposition. It is not the cunning of Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim. It is all about the new renaissance that is coming in waves, set into motion all across the planet in preparation of a whole new world order.
Here are the free lessons for BN:
In Malaysia it all began with what can be termed asthe First Wave. All these years - from the time Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad banished his deputy DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) into the dungeon, the Malaysian population have been crying out and praying hard for some form of remorse and effort to build the bridge from within the UMNO power-house. The calls of ‘Reformasi’ was the start of the alarm bells warning that the First Wave had reached Malaysian shores.
No one dared to stand up and speak up against the Tun. Instead they were hell-bent on pleasing this one man (in return for rewards of course - be it in recognition, goodwill, better life or even positions and power). They remained faithful to the call to keep condemning the lone fighter DSAI.
Fortunately, the leaders in the opposition block had the wisdom and the heart to reach out and align themselves with magnanimity and trust with the Anwar cause. They were ready to ride with the First Wave. BN was short-sighted. It was blinded by one man’s rage against Anwar and his hurt ego in the face of the critical world audience.
Then came the Second Wave in 2008. The polls victory that set in for PR was still not good enough to be able to open the blinded patronage of the BN people. Instead they took the highway of getting all muscled up against the opposition. They kept ignoring the ground sentiments.
BN belittled the rakyat. The ultimate failure on the part of BN was to snatch back Perak. Yes, the rakyat till today have not forgiven BN for that act which is perceived as robbing the voters. BN could have waited for five years to build back lost grounds, but it chose not to. It took back Perak and the rakyat said, no problem we will wait for five years. This is the kind of powered strength that the Second Wave gives communities all across the globe willing to ride on its potent force.
And so, soon the second phase of this Second Wave delivered its precipitate power in the form of the Hindraf and Bersih rallies.
Arrogant blindness and brute force
Not having learnt any lesson except that of its brazen ways of past decades and the ease at which BN grabbed Perak, the arrogant blindness prevailed. Brute force was leveled at the rakyat thinking that they will scurry into their moles and never ever dare venture out again. But no, three rallies in all withstood the force of authoritarian power.
But still BN did not learn even though one or two within BN tried to manage a squeak calling for wisdom to prevail.
The run-up to the GE-13 was the final curtain that was being prepared to fall on BN. Day after day, week after week, the BN rode rough shod on the expressway to the polls. What BN failed to see was that the momentum was gaining strength amongst the rakyat.
That galvanized unity among the rakyat was best seen in the unprecedented 80 percent voter turnout. Convinced that BN was not willing to be with the nation of moderates, many came armed to the hilt to gather evidences of cheating. BN underestimated the power of the social media – the very surfboard to ride the waves that are transforming humanity.
The Opposition politicians were quick to recognize and became the very surfboards for the rakyat.
Altantuya factor
This preparedness to catch BN in action probably had its roots in the Altantuya case in all likelihood - at least that is what the ground sentiment was all about. If only BN had handled the gruesome murder in a more compassionate and humane manner with the highest degree of transparency and accountability, BN would have managed to wind down a little the wind on the sail of the rakyat's distrust of BN.
But no, not one single soul within BN felt the need nor sense of duty to speak up on the Altantuya issue. It was taboo of the highest order. And to cap it all, the many allegations and SDs that emerged in close proximity with the sex-videos gave the wave riders momentum. So why blame the opposition?
Mahathirism
Then there was the standard brand-fireworks of Mahathirism that clung like a leech to the race and religion divisiveness. Every day, without fail, both the rural and urban voters were inundated with the need to keep to the UMNO credo that was taken to a high pitch of screams of "over our dead bodies and crushed bones" and the wielding and kissing of drawn kris.
Now the Second Wave took a booster at the conclusion of the GE-13. That booster was the new media evidences (in real time basis too) that raised the eyebrows of the voting public. The many incidences that spoke volumes of irregularities raised the suspicion to an all time high. It was not Anwar or his teammates who gave the momentum to the rakyat to migrate onto the next wave.
It was BN itself; it was the EC; it was the police; it was the mat rempits harnessed by the Home Minister once before; and other instance and incidents - it was all the doing of BN.
Third Wave - Gen Y unleash themselves!
The 8th of May brought into the open the Gen Y wave - the Third Wave that is now hammering hard on the shores of BN. Now and only now, we hear some key figures within BN coming out to nail the old man. They seem to be falling behind Najib and the old Tun becomes the villain.
You see, still BN is not capable of learning and learning fast. Shame! Even this Letter to the Editor and the responses from readers may be scowled at. Arrogance? Plain stupid? Lost touch with ground realities? Or they know they may not be able to pay the price after all?
The Third Wave is a forgone conclusion. The rakyat-momentum has matured and is ready to strike - Malaysian style. Any attempt to derail Anwar Ibrahim will only add more wind to the sail of the Third Wave and help migrate the people to yet another wave - the destructive forces of the Fourth Wave.
Heaven forbid that BN will not force the nation to ride out to the next wave.
Pray that BN will be quick to address the issues that rock the bosom of the rakyat. The election irregularities cannot be forgiven or forgotten. It must go down into history that corruption, greed, misuse of power, cheating and absolute disregard for clean, free and fair elections is a no-no in the books of democracy as enshrined in the new renaissance of the 21st century. Any lethal dose from the cannons of Mahthirism cannot ward off the Fourth Wave.
We do not want to be a country of cheaters
Nations cannot be built on cheating or even on intentions to cheat. If BN cannot see the sanctity of elections, it must also pay the price of being disqualified. The essence of democracy is dictated by the principle that democracy is non-negotiable, and this BN must appreciate if it wants to save itself from being completely wiped out by the Fourth Wave.
So, act wisely BN. Save yourself now. Call for re-election in the 30 constituencies that are being questioned. If you are really good and popular as what you claim, you will have no qualms walking like a gentleman to the polls again.
But your fear of losing cannot be camouflaged by all kinds of threats, denials, olive branch waving, or God forbid even bag full of money to entice cross-over.
Remember folks, society is being swept by these waves of defining change - all across the globe. No nation can barricade itself accept learn to thrive by riding on these waves. But to tide the waves you must play by the 21st century rules of the game: Transparency; accountability; free, fair and clean electoral; and ultimately committed to returning to society what rightfully belongs to all humanity.
Now, is that too difficult for BN masters and stooges to learn all these?
