Pakatan rejects GE13 results, cries fraud

PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim says the EC must explain the electoral fraud that happened during polling session
UPDATED
PETALING JAYA: The Pakatan Rakyat today announced that it would not accept the Elections Commission’s  (EC) results unless it can explain the electoral fraud that happened during polling today.
Speaking at a press conference today, PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim said that the opposition had documentary evidence of the dubious electoral process which happened throughout they day at various locations.
“My decision stands. It’s not fair to expect me to make a decision in an election which is fraudulent,” he said.
Also present were other Pakatan top guns namely Mustafa Ali, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Tan Kok Wai and others.
Earlier today, several polling stations reported existence of phantom voters being brought to vote at several different locations.
The Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat saw an intense standoff when the police attempted to bring several dubious ballot boxes into the counting area.
PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli also lodged a police report on two dubious voters attempting to vote at his area.
Calling the EC a failure, Anwar said that he also suspected something was amiss with the early voting and postal ballots.
“The ballots were overwhelmingly in support of Barisan Nasional, which is not in norm with the current voting pattern,” he said.
He added that he was made aware of foreign nationals casting ballots as early and postal voters.
“And look at the indelible ink. It’s delible after all,” said Anwar.
Queried on EC’s announcement that BN had formed a government with a simple majority, the former deputy prime minister said that he was still monitoring the results.
He also said that there were still seats that are being disputed and recounts are still ongoing.
“Besides, the mainstream media is giving biased reports,” said Anwar.
Queried on his earlier tweet post saying Pakatan had won federal power, Anwar said, “Don’t read from BN tweets. Look for EC results.”
