Many of you have sent in comments to suggest that, instead of a 1 million people rally, we look to do a HARTAL.
What is a HARTAL?

In 1947, without the internet, mobile phones or facsimile machines, or any of the modern communication tools that we have at our disposal, Malays, Chinese, Indians, Punjabis, Eurasians and so many others came together, worked together, and, on 20th October, 1947, brought Malaya to a standstill.
How did they do this?
They stayed united.
They did not allow efforts of the British and UMNO to divide them to succeed.
They were diverse, yes, and yet, a single people.
We need to rediscover that spirit today.
This nation has long been without a soul.
Somewhere, somehow, along the way, we lost it.
It awaits our embrace.
Without this soul, no hartal, no rally, will save this nation from the curse of UMNO.
