Selangor polls fraud panel waste of time, says BN
The new commission set up by the Selangor state government to probe electoral fraud was deemed as a “waste of money and funds” by newly-elected Selangor opposition leader Mohd Shamsudin Lias.
He said the existing system is enough to solve the electoral dispute, and there is no need for setting up a new commission to look into that.
“It’s definitely a waste of time (and money),” he said, adding that the opposition will voice out its opinion in the coming sitting which begins on July 1.
“It’s purely politics, (intended to) undermine BN,” said the Sungai Burong state assemblyperson.
It was reported that Selangor BN deputy chairperson Noh Omar has announced Shamsudin as the new opposition leader, and Jeram assemblyperson Amiruddin Setro as deputy opposition leader.
