When the word 'TOPPLE' can become taboo, then 'PDRM' should stand for Secret Police - for Umno!

A few days after Muammar Gaddafi was killed, I met a Libyan student at a bus stop in Bandar Tun Razak and asked him why did the people of Libya hate Gaddafi so much?

From the websites, we know that Gaddafi provided free education until the university level, free healthcare, cheap petrol and other benefits that surely the people of Libya should be very grateful indeed; but they did not. What more did the Libyans want?

The student replied to my question in three words, “Gaddafi is bad”. “But how bad?” I asked further. “He has ears everywhere and even mentioning his name in public and if overheard by the secret police, you will be hauled to the lock up, no matter what you have said about him, whether good or bad, you will be hauled up first and questioned much, much later.”

Is it illegal to topple Umno?

In Libya, the forbidden word was “Gaddafi”

Now in Malaysia the word “topple” will be forbidden soon. So just like the “f” word, soon we have to use some other characters instead of the numbers and alphabets if we have to use the word “topple” in a sentence or in our speech.

See, Adam Adli and Haris Ibrahim have used the word “topple” and have been hauled up by the secret police. May be Chen Man Hin, who has already been grilled, has also used the word “topple” but I have to admit that I have not seen the transcript pertaining to what Chen has said.

Next time when you are in any shopping complex and see anything toppling down, simply let it fall and hit anything and crash to pieces or even kill a human being, let it be; keep your mouth shut! For all you know, the Bangladeshi cleaner and the Indonesian sales promoter may come rushing towards you, grab you by your arms, put the hand cuffs in front of everybody, shove you inside a Black Maria and drive you off to the nearest police lock up where you will be charged under the Sedition Act 1948. Before you know it, you will be facing a jail term of not less than three years or a maximum fine of RM5,000 or both for mentioning the forbidden word!

But the word 'Kill' is OK

UMNO may have got this great idea from the brain storming sessions of its oh-so many think-tanks; forbid the people from saying the forbidden word! This is going to be the final blow to the Opposition because even they cannot mention it, so how on earth they can “t%##*@” the government?

In fact, this is one of the several great ideas besides killing the Chinese, boycott the Chinese businesses and cheating in the general elections. By the way buying votes and triggering blackouts are also great UMNO ideas too.

But you see, the word “killing” is not going to be forbidden by UMNO - more so if the word “Chinese” is attached to it. In fact you can add any other word to the word “kill” or “killing” and you will not be hauled up.

If you look at these two words “kill” and “t%##*@” (I have to get used to spelling the forbidden word this way) - which one would have a more dangerous connotation? I am sure, even the kindergarten child would be put-off by the word”kill”. But for dear old UMNO - it is cool to use this word.

Yes, the way things are going the word TOPPLE is going to be taboo and when that happens, the word PDRM will stand for “SECRET POLICE’ - UMNO’s of course!
