Kuantan MP calls for Lynas plant TOL to be revoked
A PKR MP has demanded that the temporary operating licence (TOL) issued to the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (Lamp) be revoked, since Lynas has failed to prepare a permanent disposal facility for its radioactive wastes.
Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh said the Lamp TOL had expired yesterday and that one of the conditions for its issue was for it to list the disposal facility, which Lynas has still not done.
"We want the licence to be revoked," Fuziah told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
